The time will come that will wipe out all the shitcoins. That time is what you're describing. Once the coins show no value and people get bored of them.
But, that won't be the end. Coins or tokens that have real world applications will shine.
A good comparison for Crypto is the 2000 tech bubble. Lots of garbage companies, but many diamonds in the rough.
